This course will introduce the area of health and safety and ergonomics in this industry and how it can be used to reduce the number of incidents and cost of these injuries and fatalities. Job analysis techniques will be presented to develop the skills of identifying and evaluating risk factors at the work site. Case studies will be presented to help better identify potential hazards and implement solutions that conform to national and international standards. 3.
This course will introduce the area of health and safety and ergonomics in the construction industry and how it can be used to reduce the number of incidents and cost of these injuries and fatalities. Job analysis techniques will be presented to develop the skills of identifying and evaluating risk factors at the construction site. Video-based case studies from various construction types will be used to apply the acquired skills and to develop injury-reduction programs through practical solutions and interventions. 4.

Job analysis techniques will be presented to develop the skills of identifying and evaluating risk factors at the workplace. Video-based case studies from various industrial environments will be used to apply the acquired skills. 5.
This course will introduce the area of health and safety and ergonomics in the agriculture industry and how it can be used to reduce the number of incidents and cost of these injuries and fatalities. Job analysis techniques will be presented to develop the skills of identifying and evaluating risk factors in the field. Video-based case studies from various agricultural environments and crops will be used to apply the acquired skills and to develop injury-reduction programs through practical solutions and interventions. 6.
This course will introduce the area of office ergonomics and how it can be used to reduce the number of incidents and cost of these injuries and improves employees’ health and safety. Job analysis techniques will be presented to develop the skills of identifying and evaluating risk factors at the office. The focus will be on identifying common risk factors, setting up proper design layout in the computer office environment, and selecting appropriate office furniture and computer input devices (keyboard, mouse, trackball, etc.). |
