Dr. Ahmed AlBarrak is an associate professor of Medical Informatics at College of Medicine, King Saud University (KSU), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He has a Masters of Sciences in Biomedical Engineering and a PhD in Health Informatics. Now, He is the Chairman of Medical Informatics (medical information technology) Dept. and the former director of Computer and Information department and the director for E-learning and content development and management, in The College of medicine and University Hospitals and a consultant for Quality and Development in King Saud University.

In addition Dr. AlBarrak associated as a consultant for Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Transportation, and many other major hospitals and organizations.

Dr. Albarrak participated and addressed many national and international conferences and symposiums.

His area of research and interest is in e-health, e-learning, Health Informatics, Hospitals Information Systems, Quality Management, Health care Planning and Development.

He is a member of the International Medical Informatics Association. IEEE. His recent activities and publications have been presented in various international and regional conferences and journals he has been awarded several excellence prizes and awards for his research and services.

Dr Albarrak is a registered consultant for E-government, E-health, E -learning, Content and document management systems, smart building systems and many other IT fields.


الدكتور أحمد البراك

خبير في الارشفة الالكترونية والمحتوى الالكتروني , أشرف على العديد من مشاريع الارشفة الالكترونية وعمل مستشارا في مشاريع الالكترونية وحفظ الوثائق.

هو أستاذ مساعد في المعلوماتية الطبية في كلية الطب جامعة الملك سعود ( المملكة العربية السعودية ) , لديه ماجستير في العلوم في الهندسة الطبية الحيوية ودكتوراه في المعلوماتية الصحية . الان هو رئيس قسم للمعلوماتية الطبية ( تكنولوجيا المعلومات الطبية ) , مدير سابق لقسم الكمبيوتر والمعلومات ومدير للتعلم الالكتروني وتطوير المحتوى والادارة في كلية الطب والمستشفيات الجامعية وهو استشاري للجودة والتطوير في جامعة الملك سعود .

بالاضافة عمل الدكتور البراك مستشارا لوزارة التعليم العالي , وزارة الصحة , ووزارة المواصلات والعديد من المستشفيات الكبرى والمنظمات الأخرى .

شارك الدكتور البراك في العديد من المؤتمرات والندوات الوطنية والدولية .وتناولت بحوثه الفائدة في مجال الصحة الالكترونية والتعليم الالكتروني والمعلوماتية الصحية اضافة الى نظم المعلومات داخل المستشفيات وإدارة الجودة والرعاية الصحية والتخطيط والتنمية .

الدكتور البراك عضو في الرابطة الدولية للمعلوماتية الطبية وقد عرضت الأنشطة التي قام بها مؤخرا والمنشورات في مختلف المؤتمرات الدولية والإقليمية والمجلات وقد تم منح جوائز التفوق كان العديد من الجوائز لأبحاثه والخدمات . كما انه مستشار مسجل للحكومة الالكترونية , الصحة الإلكترونية والتعليم الالكتروني وأنظمة إدارة الوثائق وأنظمة المباني وغيرها من مجالات تكنولوجيا المعلومات .
